When you install this extension, it will only appear on YouTube, Netflix, Vimeo, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. If you don't want to see the player controls or the surrounding webpage, you can turn that off in the extension settings.
You will see a camera icon appear beside the normal player controls. Click on the camera button or a keyboard shortcut of your choosing, and the video from its current frame will be captured and saved in the Downloads folder as a JPG or PNG.
The screenshots can be downloaded to your computer in various formats.
